International activities
The Degree Course in Natural Resources Management for Tropical Rural Development offers to the enrolled students a number of opportunities to experience learning activities in tropical and sub-tropical areas of many countries.
Depending on the student's nationality and their condition as grant holders (in Italy grants can not overlap), the possibilities of outgoing mobility regard essentially:
i) following university courses and gaining ECTS;
ii) trainings on specific subjects;
iii) activities related to the graduation thesis, and iv) study tours.
Outgoing financial support is offered by Erasmus programs, Extra-UE Mobility plan - University of Florence, Study tours organized by the Department of Agriculture, Food, Environment and Forestry (DAGRI-UNIFI) and specific mobility initiatives organized by professors of the Degree Course based on funded international research projects. Students may also try to get grants by their own from public and private donors. In such case, they will have to get an agreement with professors in order to make the mobility official. In most of cases all the mobility activities allow the student to get ECTS as free credits.
Along the year, the Delegates for Erasmus and other mobility plans, as well as individual professors, provide the adequate information to the students.
